Nick Dann is a sports and mental skills coach helping athletes of all levels perform to the best of their capabilities while also focusing on their mental health. He is also a volunteer with Sporting Minds, a mental health charity offering free consultation services to athletes. He will also be speaking at our panel on Mental Health in the Sports Industry.

Leoni Blokhuis is a football agent and the owner of Flowsports. Flowsports is a company that manages professional football players and that, in 2013, was responsible for the first paid Dutch transfer in women’s football. The company focuses on contractual guidance, personal development, marketing, PR and sponsorship, and life after sports. Through her work with Combinatiefunctionaris, she helped push sports associations to have a more active role in society.
Adam Crafton is a sports correspondent for The Athletic, focusing on football. 2018 was a big year for him: not only was he named the Young Sports’ Writer of the Year by the Sports’ Journalist Association (a much deserved award, given that he would do anything, even getting held at gunpoint, to get a great story!), but he published the book From Guernica to Guardiola in which he analyses the influence of Spaniards in English football.

Richard Spitzke is a sports consultant at Alpha Sports Management, a company working to help athletes progress in their careers by offering a range of management and consultancy services. He previously worked as a talent scout for Colossal Sports Management, a sports talent relationship and representation agency.

Sandro Volpato is a major event advisor; he is an operations and accreditation planning expert and is the founder of SV Event Consulting. He has worked in the event industry for over 20 years, and his main projects include 5 Olympic and Paralympic Games (in Italy, Canada, United Kingdom, Brazil, France), Pan American Games, Islamic Solidarity Games as well as World Expos.

Marius Fischer is a football editor at Philippka Sportverlag and a leader in football visualizations using Excel. He uses his data visualisations to showcase the stats and figures of some of football’s best players, teams and managers, and how writing ranges from tactical analysis to overviews of some of the brightest athletic careers in football.

Sophie Behan and Charlie Wood
Sophie Behan is an analyst and Charlie Wood is a lead consultant at Two Circles, a data-driven sports agency helping sports organisations build relationships with their fans and partners. Before joining Two Circles, Sophie worked with NGOs in Brazil and Nepal, combining her love of rugby with empowering communities and breaking the cycle of poverty. After graduating from LSE, Charlie worked for IMG, a global leader in sports, media and events as a client coordinator for their golf section. In his time at Two Circles, he has worked on projects for the NFL, Great British Racing, Welsh Rugby Union Regions and most recently for FIBA, the global governing body for basketball
Data Analytics in Football
Sarah Rudd is Head of Analytics and Software Development at the Arsenal FC Data Analytics Group. She is one of the early pioneers of sports analytics in soccer, and even developed a new method for evaluating player performance.
